Last updated: July 26, 2026
I’m Carlos Piles, the owner of this personal blog, capiga.dev. Here’s what data I collect, why, and what rights you have — in line with the GDPR and Spanish law (LSSI-CE).
First things first: capiga.dev is a personal blog. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no store, no newsletter. I only collect the minimum needed to run the site and to see which content gets read. I don’t sell or share your data, and I don’t run ads or profiling.

What I collect and why
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
To see which articles get read and improve the blog. It collects usage data: page views, time on page, device and browser type, and IP (which Google uses coarsely, not to identify you).
- It only turns on if you accept analytics cookies in the banner. Until then, Google Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics off and cookieless.
- Legal basis: your consent (you can withdraw it anytime from the cookie banner).
- Provider: Google. Data may be processed on Google’s servers.
If you email me
If you send me an email, I process your address and the message content only to reply to you.
- Legal basis: your consent / my legitimate interest in answering you.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which as a CDN processes technical connection data (e.g. your IP) to serve the site quickly and securely.
Cookies
I use essential cookies (to remember your choice) and, if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies. Full detail is in the Cookie Policy.
Retention
Analytics data is retained per the Google Analytics settings. Emails you send me are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability at any time by writing to capigadev@gmail.com. If you believe I’ve mishandled your data, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), aepd.es.
Children
This blog isn’t aimed at children under 14 and I don’t knowingly collect their data. If you’re a parent or guardian and believe a child has given me their data, email me and I’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
I may link to third-party sites I don’t control. I recommend reviewing their privacy policies; I’m not responsible for them.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update this page and the date above.
