Cookie Policy

On my blog, https://capigadev, I use cookies to keep things running smoothly and to understand how you use it. I’m Carlos, the person behind this site, and I want to explain what cookies I use and why, following Spanish and European laws (LSSI-CE and GDPR).

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit my blog. They help the site work, improve your experience, and track how you navigate it.

What cookies do I use?

1. Necessary Cookies

  • Purpose: Make the blog work properly (e.g., remembering if you accepted cookies).
  • Consent: No permission needed since they’re essential.
  • Duration: Varies, some delete when you close your browser (session).
  • Example: Consent management cookies.

2. Analytics Cookies

  • Purpose: Help me see how you use the blog (pages visited, time spent, etc.) to make it better.
  • Service: I use Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Specific Cookies: _ga, _ga_G-1111 (anonymous identifiers).
  • Duration: Up to 2 years.
  • Consent: I need your approval to enable them, as they’re not essential.
  • Provider: Google Ireland Limited (Ireland, GDPR-compliant).

How do I manage cookies?

  • Consent: When you arrive, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can tweak your choices anytime via the settings link in the footer.
  • Browser: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (look for “cookies” there).

Who uses the data?

I, Carlos, handle the necessary cookies. Google Analytics data is processed by Google under their policies, but what I get is anonymous and doesn’t identify you personally.

International transfers?

Google Analytics might send data outside the EU (e.g., to the US), but it follows GDPR standard contractual clauses to protect your privacy.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask me for access, correction, or deletion of your data. Email me at cpilesdev@gmail.com if you need anything.

Updates

I might update this policy if the law or my blog changes. This version is from March 7, 2025.
